My Life at Labuan Matriculation College

Hey...it's me,Edri.Im back with my new story. This blog will write about my life when I was in Labuan Matriculation College. So,the programme started at 5th June 2017 and I went to Labuan at 4th June by using ferry from Menumbok to Labuan. But,after that I usually use ferry from KK<-->LBN.

At the next day,I arrived at the college around 8am because of the traffic jam and yeah I was a little bit regret for not went earlier than that. So,I went  to the registration place and took a photo for my matric card and I met a few of my primary schoolmates and also friends from different high school that I met before this.

So,this is the scenery that I always see every evening.

Then,I went to the hostel. So,my dorm number was A2.21.The alphabet represents for the block that I lived and the number represents the floor and  dorm number. Each dorm fits for 4 person. So,there will be two person from Sabah and two person from Sarawak.

So,this is the block that I lived.

After that,we had orientation for three days that called MPPB as known as Minggu Pengurusan Pelajar Baharu at Mutiara hall. That was the most tiring orientation ever I had because we had to sit on the floor for hours and yeah the total intake was about 2500 students and all of us were like sardine can.We were sang Labuan National Anthem and college song.By the way,the college song was very catchy though.

When the orientation ended, asimilation week started.Asimilation week is the process to adapt in college environment. So,my tutorial class was BP2 T33 for asimilation. Then my permanent tutorial class was BP1 T15.There are 2 courses,Science course and Account course.

Account courses has 4 subjects - Accounting Principle,Economy,Business Management,Mathematics

Science course has 3 modules.
Module I - Biology,Physics,Chemistry,Mathematics
Module II - Physics,Computer Science,Chemistry,Mathematics
Module III -  Biology,Computer Science,Chemistry,Mathematics

Actually,I planned want to change to Module II but the HEP said if you got Module I you have opportunity to choose any courses you want when you pursue degree in university later. Then,I remain to stay in Module I :')

Most of lecturers here are still young and graduated from oversea and most of the students here are from Sabah,Sarawak and a few from Labuan as well.I met a lot of friends from many races.I also had an opportunity to learn Bahasa Melayu Sarawak as well. Most of lecturers here are so sporting, nice and yet humble.

Having life at LMC was like living both in hell and heaven simultaneously.I am very sure all KMLians can relate this.I loss weight when I was there. When I was in Semester 1,I was so so so so busy.Nonstop assignments, tests, quizzes and night class were all in a wrap.In college, there's a lot of works and you need to submit before the deadline. There are also lab reports that you must submit to your lecturer before the deadline for the carry marks.I also had a super packed schedule in which my class started from 7.30am until 3.30pm and only one hour recess only since I took One Year Programme so yeah all things were became faster to finish the syllabus.
I also had participated competition there.I did this for the sake of my Koko marks though. Also,I met a lot of friends from different courses. They are awesome and nice people !!

So,this is my Futsal Team,Tanzanite FC.We got the third place.

This is my hand ball team,Blue Sapphire.I was a goal keeper. They are awesome!

This is when we were planning to make Easter Presentation at church. So,I choose evil character 3:)

[October  2017] This is our first AMCF camp (Christian Foundation) organized by church.

Then when the Semester II started,I was not that busy like when I was in Semester I.But,the syllabus became tougher because there's a lot new things I studied in details.I can say Semester II as 'Mneumonic Semester' because there's a lot things you have to memorise. The class timetable changed and extended to 4.30pm.

My class timetable for Sem II.My Sem I class timetable had been deleted.

Day by day, everything becomes tougher.Heartbreaks, frustrations, stresses and failures I had faced there,I was having mental breakdown when I was in college.I gave up study and cried a lot but choose to get up because the only thing I could do is be strong.I had come to this far. There's no other way than finish it.At the end of the day,I survived. No matter how hard situation is,I learnt not to give up.Forward is forward.Speed doesn't matter.God sent me here for a reason.

I always convince myself this is not forever. The pain I go through just temporary. This too shall pass.Something will grow from I am going through and it will be me.

"Taking break is okay.Having a good cry is okay.Going away from all craziness is okay.Being sad is okay.Being angry, disappointed, discouraged is okay.Being heart broken is okay. But all of these CANNOT define for who you are.You are more than these."

I learnt a lot when I was in college.I learnt not only became a good student but I grow up to be a human being.I am glad to say that I am not regret about the past mistakes I did. From that I become a better version of myself. It made me for who I am today.
"Yesterday I was clever,so I wanted to changed the world.Today I am wise,so I am changing myself."   -Rumi

I think that's all from me.Im not good at making good ending.Nevermind.See ya in the next blog :)
